Why does Edward have to leave so that Jake can come over. Of course Edward smoothes things over quickly, and Jake arrives at the door and moves into the house with ghost-like quickness.\n\nWhen Bella takes a look at Jacob, she gives him a hard time - seriously, he was never wearing clothes! What was the deal with this? Did he just want to show off his new-found muscles or what? He wasn\'t a vain guy. Although when Bella was honest with herself, she could admit that the muscles were pretty amazing. Jake explains that having very little clothes on is just easier, because, as the warewolf says, he has to carry his garments with him when he runs. The little cord around his wrist is used to tie the clothes to his wolf body.
